December was all about learning new programs. Brightcove Storymaker leaves a little to be desired. It is a worthy program, but it’s not fully equipped to handle actual video interactivity. Which was disappointing because I made a whole interactive graphic that wouldn’t play the individual videos. Oh well, I know for next time. It’s good for slideshows though.
Flash-based platforms are tricky to work on because most phones and some comps won’t support it, it’s hard to embed SEO … but they (generally) look nice! Despite its drawbacks, I think for my next project I might just avoid Storymaker and start from scratch.
